Designed to imitate natural lighting mimicking the Earth’s atmosphere, a nanoparticle LED panel can bring a sunny sky to your room, no matter what the weather outside.

The product, called CoeLux, was developed by professor Paolo Di Trapani and his team, at the University of Insubria in Como, Italy.

“Using a white LED behind a polymer screen that is coated in titanium dioxide nanoparticles, the window is able to reproduce Rayleigh scattering—the process that separates light particles into "blue" sky and "yellow" sun for our eyes.

To make it even more authentic, CoeLux has different products which are designed to accurately imitate the sunlight at different latitudes.”

An artificial illumination that is "authentic" enough to replace natural light.

Apart from residential indoor architecture, this device could change (both positively and negatively) the way spaces - that already compress and transcend the conventional boundaries of time and space  - are experienced: airports, shopping malls, stores, offices, or subways.

Forget about weather predictions, blind walls and meteoropathy, we are in the Society of Simulations!
