The majestic Million Dollar Theater is one the pearls on the historical LA broadway district. The theater was one of the first movie palaces built in the United States. It is located right across the legendary Bradbury building (known from Bladerunner). Public parking – $5 flat rate – is available next door. "The theater opened in February 1st 1918, with the debut of the cowboy film 'The Silent Man'. Among the stars to turn out were Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin and Lillian Gish, as well as hundreds of eager fans who lined up for two blocks."

The Million Dollar Theater was commissioned by legendary showman Sid Grauman, at the then-astounding cost of one million dollars. The recent renovation of the gothic/baroque theater coast more. Limited seats available.
